Life as a game of Domino
My work has become increasingly text based. In my recent series of paintings, I used text as part of the image and now I have turned my attention to the process of creating a story, and to art as a game of words. The area of my artistic inquiry is the potential of the imagination.
‘Life as a game of Domino’ is an installation made with a recycled Box of Dominoes, which I transformed into a new game. The purpose of the game is the creation of a story. It is a piece of art, in which three components: the Box, the Domino tiles and the Instruction sheet are equally important.
This installation was included in 'Art in a box' exhibition in One Church Street Gallery in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, from 17 September to 8 October 2011.
